13 Paix

13 is a lucky number
Cartier has known this since it opened its doors 1899. It was here that Louis Cartier gave the family business an address worthy of the exceptional destiny it was to embrace. It is also here that the Maison’s great creative history is written, day after day.
The heart of a creative passion
Initially in charge of leather goods and accessories, Jeanne Toussaint took over as creative director in 1933, a position she held until her retirement in the early 1970s. Louis Cartier appreciated her assertiveness and her vision, which would constantly evolve the Maison's style. It was the convergence of these two free spirits that laid the foundations of the Cartier style: singular and plural, unique and universal, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the treasures of yesterday and tomorrow.

The boutique: a place of discovery and vitality
A harmonious reinvention
Three teams of architects worked together to create a multifaceted and harmonious transformation of the building's six levels. The gentle and luminous approach to this transformation creates a dialogue between the eras and decorative styles of the Maison, paying tribute and inscribing them in a timeless modernity.
