Cartier and Islamic Art: In Search of Modernity
(2021-2022)

The aim of the Cartier and Islamic Arts exhibition is to explore the influence of Islamic art on Cartier's jewelry and objets d'art from the early 20th century to the present day. This exhibition highlights the uniqueness of this repertoire and the way it has marked Cartier's style. Over 400 pieces - jewelry and objets d'art from the Maison, masterpieces of Islamic art, archive documents from the Cartier Collection, Cartier's archives and loans from private collectors and institutions - retrace the origins of this interest. After Paris, the exhibition co-curated by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris and the Dallas Museum of Art, with the exceptional collaboration of the Louvre and the support of the Maison Cartier, can be explored at the Dallas Museum of Art.
